Organized 1-Day Continuing Education Program (CEP)on “Energy & Environment for Engineers “on 14 November 2017 for the First Year Students& Faculty of Engineering Colleges of Aurangabad City at MIT, Aurangabad.

Objectives:

To create awareness about;
1.Importance of Energy &Environment, concepts, applications for Engineers in their Domain.
2.Concepts of Sustainable Development; Role of budding engineers making it reality.

Outcome:

To change the thinking of budding engineers how to incorporate the Energy Conservation aspects, Environment Protection features during Under Graduate with reference to Planning, Designing and Execution of various engineering domain tasks.
CEP has been inaugurated by Professor Munish Sharma, Director General, MIT Group of Institutes, Aurangabad, with an inaugural speech on the theme. Dr. Nilesh G Patil, Principal MIT (E) was also present for the program.
Subsequent sessions by Dr. Jagdish Godihal, on Concepts of Environment and Sustainable Development, Case studies; has initiated the thinking process among the participants about the objectives of the course.
Next Sessions by Mrs. Kavita J Godihal, about Concepts of Energy conservation for Engineers and Domain Related Energy Conservation; Cleaner Development Mechanisms/ Technologies (CDMs/ CDTs), made the students to realize the role of Energy conservation concepts in the Domain of study.

Panel Discussion:

“The Importance of Energy & Environment for Engineers in the Domain of study “inspired the participants how they can involve themselves with Insights inculcated/imbibed in this CEP to practice energy conservation and Environment protection.
Overall, this CEP has initiated the thinking process and sets roll in the behavioral change among the participants to proceed further to meet the goals of Sustainable Development.
Received an excellent feedback from participants.
