International Women’s Day-Role of Damini Squad of Aurangabad

A grand celebration to mark the International Women’s Day was organised by Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Marathwada Institute of Technology on 08th March 2022. Guest members of Damini squad of Aurangabad has very well expressed their working for the safety of girls and women. The program started at 11:00 am with the arrival of the Chief guest PSI Suwarna Umap, Incharge of Damini Squad, Aurangabad and other members of Damini squad , Lata Jadhav who , Manisha Bansode, Nirmala Nimbore. All the guests were welcomed in the main auditorium. Welcome speech was addressed by Prof. Madhuri Patil (ICC member) and preamble was given by ICC presiding officer Ar. Pranita Pranjale. PSI Suwarna Umap addressed the gathering, in which she has explained the working of Damini squad on city level related to women and girls. She encourages, inspire and acknowledge the girls and taught them the lessons of legal actionsm,self-protection and digital protection. It was over all an informative speech. Then Mrs. Nilima Nimbore was invited to share her expertise and knowledge . Program ended with vote of thanks and national anthem. Overall the program was a great success with the presence of over 200 students, faculty members, ICC members and brought to a conclusion by hope and faith being instilled among all women.
