   I am pleased to welcome you all to Marathwada Institute of Technology widely known as MIT, Marathwada Institute of Technology is established under the umbrella of the trust Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal (GSM). GSM was founded by the great visionary freedom fighter Late Shri. Anandraoji Deshmukh.

  Over the years, right from its inception, MIT has been growing from strength to strength under the visionary leadership of President G. S. Mandal, Prof. Dr. Y. A. Kawade. He was a professor in Government College of Engineering prior to the establishment of the institute. For the last ten years, MIT is now taking a great shape in the form of a leading institute in the State of Maharashtra under the prolific leadership of Director General of MIT, Prof. Munish Sharma. The institute offers various courses such as B. Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

  The institute also offers M. Tech courses such as Heat Power, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Embedded systems, Structural Engineering and Electrical Drives & Control. These B. Tech and M. Tech courses are affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University from the academic year 2017-18. Moreover, research centre for Ph.D. research in Mechanical Engineering adds to the credentials of the institute. The courses of Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) is providing different flavours to the learning culture of institute. The institute provides state of the art laboratories in all departments and also CoEs in Automation and Mechatronics, Computer Aided Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy, Green Energy and Robotic Machining facilities. Highly qualified and dedicated teachers from IITs, NITs and other reputed Universities and Institutes are special strength of MIT.

  We believe that merely acquiring degree will not be enough in the rapidly changing technological world. We do not expect our students to limit themselves to the academic requirements of the qualifying degree and try to inculcate the attribute of lifelong learning by undergoing varied experiences through co-curricular activities such as SAE Baja, Robocon, ASME, IEEE chapters and industry based projects. Moreover, they also sharpen themselves through art and sports related activities. On behalf of all teaching and non-teaching staff members and all other students, I welcome you to the MIT family. We all will try our best to mentor you to realize your goals and also encourage you to follow the right path in the light of appropriate values. At the beginning of your journey of engineering education, I would like to appeal you to set your goals, short and long term, and follow them with perseverance and willpower.
