MIT-AWS Academy

  MIT collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2018 to establish MIT-AWS Academy with a motive to bridge the gap between industry and academia. AWS Academy is a global program that provides educational institutions with access to an AWS- authored curriculum so they can offer cloud computing courses to their students. By participating in AWS Academy, students can become proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology and gain industry-recognized AWS Certifications.

About the Curriculum

  MIT-AWS Academy offers following courses and learning resources that enable students to develop a range of skills in the AWS Cloud.

1. AWS Academy Cloud Foundations

  This introductory course provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. It contains 20 hours of course content and prepares students to pursue an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.

2. AWS Academy Cloud Architecting

  This intermediate-level course covers the fundamentals of building IT infrastructure on AWS and helps students gain the skills they need to pursue the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification. This course contains approximately 40 hours of content delivered through lectures, hands-on labs, and project work.
